This document outlines the standard operating procedures and customer-facing policies regarding the fulfillment and return of products for Ultimate Sewing & Vac.
1. Shipping Policy
1.1 Shipping Zones
Ultimate Sewing & Vac strictly ships to addresses within the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii). We do not offer international shipping at this time.
1.2 Shipping Rates and Thresholds
Standard Free Shipping: All orders totaling $50.00 or more qualify for Free Standard Shipping.
Flat Rate Shipping: A flat rate of $7.50 is available for orders that do not meet the free shipping threshold or in the event of carrier API disruptions.
Small Parts Bonus: Orders consisting solely of “Small Parts” totaling $100.00 or more qualify for a complimentary bonus product.
Exclusion: High-value/heavy items such as sewing machines and industrial tables are excluded from the $100 bonus calculation due to specialized freight requirements.
1.3 Carrier Selection Logic
To ensure the safest and most efficient delivery, we utilize a dual-carrier system:
USPS (United States Postal Service): Primarily used for small parts, needles, bobbins, and lightweight notions.
UPS (United Parcel Service): Utilized for weight-intensive and high-value items, including sewing machines, vacuum cleaners, and industrial furniture.
1.4 Delivery Estimates & Insurance
Most orders are processed within 1-2 business days. High-value machinery is shipped with full insurance and may require a signature upon delivery to ensure security.
2. Returns & Exchanges
2.1 Return Windows
Parts & Accessories: May be returned within 30 days of the delivery date.
High-Value Machinery (Sewing Machines & Vacuums): Must be initiated within 15 days of delivery.
2.2 Condition Requirements
All returns must be in their original, unused condition.
Machines must include all original factory packaging, styrofoam inserts, manuals, and included accessories.
Missing items or damaged packaging may result in a reduction of the refund amount.
2.3 Non-Returnable Items
For safety and integrity reasons, the following items are Final Sale:
Opened software or embroidery design packages.
Used needles, pins, or cutting blades.
Special-order industrial tables or customized equipment.
Gift cards.
2.4 Restocking Fees
A 15% restocking fee may be applied to high-value sewing machines and vacuums returned for reasons other than a confirmed manufacturer defect. This fee covers the cost of technical inspection, testing, and professional repackaging.
